The dream of many families is to own a home on a hillside with a wonderful view. However, such a location places high demands on both the architect and builder. Here, DAVINCI HAUS designers present an innovative and very individual solution to such problems. This building is not only typically DAVINCI HAUS aesthetic, it is absolutely functional and well thought out through and through.
The ‘Plus Energy House’ (Energy Plus House) has been designed and developed not only with the environment in mind, but also takes into account the position of the sun. Depending on the time of day, and prevailing weather conditions, the play of light illuminating this particular DAVINCI HAUS both intensifies and diffuses the contours.
When crossing the threshold of the house one enters the entrance hallway, a friendly welcoming space which also serves as a buffer zone against heat, cold, wind and weather. An immediate eye catcher is the centrally placed elegant and beautifully crafted wooden stairwell. To the right behind a frosted glass sliding door is an office space or guest room. The interior layout with open kitchen and a generous, light flooded living and dining area evokes a distinct feeling of well-being.
In the upper floor or loft area, a studio, a children’s room with separate shower and bathroom and a parents’ bedroom with spacious en-suite bathroom and integrated dressing area can be found.
Storage rooms, utility rooms and the heating system are located in the basement. In addition, the modern timber-framed building is thoroughly equipped with intelligent technology (the BUS system).
This heating technology of the future ensures the utmost in comfort while providing independence of fossil fuels. With an air heat pump in the basement and a photovoltaic system on the roof, heating costs are sustainably reduced while at the same time valuable resources are conserved. Last but not least, the photovoltaic system can also take care of recharging any electric vehicles via an external socket.
